Thank you St. Anthony

So, after many prayers to St. Anthony (Tony never lets me down) Charles never did find his original baptism certificate…even after a frantic search through who knows how many dusty boxes. But, we were finally able to get a letter noting its record at the church. Whew!

Catholics sure do like their paperwork!

Next on the to do list, affidavits from four people (two for each of us) stating that we’ve never been married, aren’t being forced into marriage, and that they support us marrying each other. Now if we can only remember to get Charles’ in the mail to his mom and aunt… (who’s the patron saint of the postal service? Shouldn’t I know this?)

EDIT: Thank you Gretchen for answering my question! There’s a great story about the patron saint of the postal service and telecommunications at http://catholicherald.com/detail.html?sub_id=14596.
