Lil Gobbler 2.0

As I’ve mentioned before, my friends and I get together for a monthly girls’ night…usually involving a craft.

Last year about this time of year, we decided to make little turkeys. They looked SO cute in the picture! We all agreed to bring different parts of what was needed and we were set.

Until we opened Gretchen’s bag o’ paint. Not a primary color to be found. No brown. No red.

Nothing but pinks, purples and oranges. But as we usually do, we made the best of it. By the end of the night, we had little gobblers that looked like they were  headed for a mardi gras parade (the suggested featers in their heads didn’t help!).

So this year, we figured we’d try again. Enter “Little Gobbler 2.0.” Gretchen managed to buy some primary colored paint. Angie got the SWEET googly eyes that have eyelids on them. We had feathers left from last year, we were all set!

I even was inspired to make a hat. Then Angie was inspired to add a toupee. Well, It wouldn’t be little gobbler night without something going weird!

What a wonderful tribute to Little Gobblers! They really are becoming quite the Thanksgiving tradition! 🙂
